The beginning or our Texel flock consisting of five yearling ewes (Jazzy, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, & Ivy) purchased in August 2014.Above is a picture of our Texel ram lamb (aka Brutus) that was also purchased at the same time that we purchased our Texel ewes. As of November 2017, Brutus tipped the scales at 233 pound.
Above are the Texel ewe lambs and ram lamb that we purchased in June 2017 from Fisher Texel’s. The Father of the ewe lambs was the Champion Texel ram at the 2015 National Texel sheep show in Sedalia. At the national show in 2017, one of Eugene and Niki Fisher’s rams was selected as the Champion Texel ram. In 2018, we purchased 6 additional ewe lambs and 1 ram lamb from Eugene & Niki.
